Sustainability and Green chemistry is an elective course for B. Tech student of chemical engineering designed to introduce the concepts Sustainable Development and Green Chemistry.  Students can opt for this course during their sixth semester. The course objective is to introduce the concept of sustainability, green chemistry and their interdependence and their application for chemical engineering processes and design.The course can be broadly divided into two major parts – sustainability, green chemistry.

Some of the major topics to be covered include : sustainable development, its dimensions and green chemistry, Introduction of green chemistry and its dependence on twelve principles, Waste management approaches for chemical processes in green chemistry, measurement of greenness, Green products and processes for chemical industry, Green Synthesis approaches and green engineering methods.

Students taking this course are required to have fundamental concepts in chemistry and chemical engineering.Visit Website Link
