Electro Nanoprocessing of Semiconductor Nanotube Arrays for High Efficiency Photovoltaics

The focus of this project is to develop a biofuel cell that is capable of powering medical devices and mobile electronic devices.

This research involves:

  1. Fabricating 3-D nanoengineered electrodes using CVD grown carbon nanotubes and electrodeposited nanowires,
  2. Investigating the direct electron transfer between nanoelectrodes and enzyme redox center, and
  3. Demonstrating the functionality of miniaturized high power density biological fuel cell.
