Abstract : Cord blood is a rich source of stem cells, growth factors and immune suppressing cytokines. We have reviewed its potential for enhancing material integration in the case of implants. We have reviewed the problems with the current degenerative therapy, future outlook and also the potential of using cord blood to mimic the biological way of, delivery of active molecules, immune suppression and tissue regeneration.
