Abstract : The paper aims to carry out structural and conceptual similarities of the game of Chess and Shakespearean tragedy Macbeth. It gives a comparative textual and structural analysis of the play and the game. The structuralist analysis which greatly facilitates the study of narratives provides a systematic and schematic study of plot, characters, symbol, and corresponding structures.
