Bio

Dr. Shweta Mallick, is a  Associate Professor in the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology, Amrita School of Medicine, Kochi. She has to her credit, 10 years of experience in this field. Along with expertise in performing advanced gastrointestinal and HPB surgeries, she is well versed in performing minimally invasive surgeries including both advanced laparoscopy and robotic surgery. Having trained in one of the top gastrointestinal training programs in the country, she is well versed in managing diseases of the digestive tract including upper GI, colorectal, HPB, liver and multi-visceral transplantation and abdominal vascular surgeries. With particular interest in organ transplantation, Dr. Shweta aims to further the development of the liver and multi-visceral transplant program in the country with a close focus on pediatric liver transplantation. Apart from clinical work, she firmly believes in the potential of medical research work and has contributed to various past and ongoing research activities in her career.
