Bio

Dr. Merlin Moni is an Associate Professor and seasoned clinician with a focus on Infectious Diseases working at Amrita Hospital, Kochi. She has over 10 years of clinical experience, excelling in diagnosing and managing infections in serious hematological conditions, including transplant infections and postoperative infections. She’s a key player in the institution’s antibiotic stewardship program and has been involved in vital research on AMR and sepsis. She is involved in pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies of vital drugs like Colistin and ceftazidime and has contributed to the State AMR containment program through prescriber training. Her comprehensive skill set spans clinical research and patient care, quality improvement programme implementation and healthcare enhancement, infection control, patient safety and medical education.
