Bio

Dr. Naveen V. Kulkarni currently serves as  Assistant Professor (Sl. Gd.) at the Department of Chemistry, Amrita School of Physical Science, Amritapuri. He completed his Masters degree in Physical Chemistry from Karnatak University Dharwad with first rank and received a gold medal (2006). After accepting the Nilekani Fellowship he joined Prof. V. K. Revankar at Department of Chemistry, Karnatak University Dharwad for his doctoral studies in the field of transition metal coordination chemistry (2006 – 2010). He has worked with renowned organometallic chemists, Prof. Moris S. Eisen (as a postdoc at Technion – Haifa, Israel 2010 – 2013), Prof. H. V. Rasika Dias (as a post doc research associate at UTA – Arlington, Texas, United States 2013 – 2016) and Prof. William D. Jones (as a scientist at University of Rochester, Rochester, New York, United States 2016 – 2017) and contributed in development of several new valuable catalysts and methodologies.

Naveen joined the Department of Chemistry at Amrita in 2017. His current research interests include Coordination Chemistry, Organometallic Chemistry, Catalysis and Sustainable Chemistry.
