Bio

Senthilkumar Thangavelu (Senthil) is currently a PhD Research Scholar at Amrita School of Business (ASB) and is also working as Research Associate at ASB Bangalore. His research focus area is IT Innovation Management, Property Rights and Governance.

Senthil did his M. Sc. (Physics) (1988) and PGDCA (1989) from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. He also holds an M.Phil. (Comp. Sc., 1995) from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore and  MBA finance (2008) from Ohio University, Ohio, USA.

Senthil has 16+ years of IT software and product development experience with leading IT companies including Syntel, Wipro Technologies and Misys. He has played various roles including project lead, project manager, account manager, six sigma facilitator, pre-sales consultant, bid manager and PMO and compliance manager. He has managed software development and maintenance projects for leading US Financial services, banking and insurance companies.  Senthil also has 6+ years of academic experience which includes, teaching MCA and B.Sc computer science students and guiding their projects.

His teaching interests include Information Systems, Project and Program management.
