Bio

Dr. Aravind M.S.  currently serves as Reader in the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, School of Dentistry, Health Sciences Campus, Kochi.

Dr. Aravind MS completed his BDS in 2009 from SRM University Chennai and MDS in 2014 from Dr. M.G.R Educational and Research Institute, Chennai.

He then joined Royal Dental College, Palakkad as Assistant Professor in Oral Medicine and Radiology. With his immense interest in the area of advanced imaging of maxillofacial area he joined Amrita School of Dentistry in 2015 as Assistant Professor. He was appointed as Reader in 2018 and is currently continuing to work in the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology at School of Dentistry, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi.

He holds international membership with the most prestigious American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology where his research work was accepted for oral presentation by the Research and Technology committee. He is also a member of the national body –Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology and state body – Association of Stomatologist and Maxillofacial Imageologist of Kerala.

His specific areas of interest are advanced imaging in maxillofacial radiology, cone beam computed tomography, temporomandibular joint diagnosis and management, effective teaching methodologies, radiographic interpretation of temporal and naso sinus regions He has been actively involved in under and post graduate resident education. He has co-authored many publications in various journals in different areas of dentistry.
