Bio

Dr. Dhanya S R has been working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Physics of Amrita School of Physical Sciences, Amritapuri, since 2011. She obtained her MSc Physics from University of Kerala in 2007.She has also pursued B.Ed in 2008 and M.Ed in 2010. Currently she has been teaching Engineering Physics for past 12 years and workingin the area of multiferroics for her research. She successfully defended her Ph.D. Thesis titled, “Structural, Magneto-electrical and Optical properties of Neodymium and Chromium doped Bismuth ferrite multiferroics” in 2023 from Amrita University. She has been guiding MSc project for the last few years in both experimental and computational aspects on multiferroics. She has also been instrumental in OBEbased analysis for the department. Her present research interest lies in multiferroics: synthesis and characterization.
