Bio

Dr. K. Deepa currently serves as Associate Professor(Research Track) at the Department of Electrical & Electronics, Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru campus. She also leads the thrust area group “ E-mobility”. She has more than 25+ years of experience in teaching. She has 60+ international journal papers, 100+ international conference papers and 6 national conference papers to her credit. She has authored two books “Control Systems” and “Electrical Machines”. Her Ph.D. thesis title was “Design, Analysis and Control of DC to DC Quasi Resonant Converters”. She is a senior member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) & IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) and life member of Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) & Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). She is the advisor for the IEEE-PES & IAS student branch joint chapter from its inception (2015) to till date and advisor for IEEE-WIE from its inception(2015) to 2022 in Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru. She was IEEE PES Bangalore chapter Treasurer for 2019 EXECOM, IEEE PELS Bangalore chapter Vice chair for 2020 and Secretary for 2021 and 2022 EXECOM, IEEE WIE AG Bangalore section Joint Secretary 2022. Currently she is the chair of 2023 IEEE PELS Bangalore chapter EXECOM and track chair of CONECCT 2023.
