Bio

Dr. N. Rakesh working as Vice Chairperson at the School of computing, Bengaluru Campus.

He has almost 15 years plus of teaching along with research experience. His area of interests includes Computer Networks, Wireless Communication, Wireless sensor Networks, Internet of Things, Wireless Channel Modeling, Mobile Communication, Wireless Communication and also exploring in Machine Learning, Deep Learning domains. He served has Session chair, Technical Program Chair, International Program Chair for various International Conference in India and abroad. Designated Reviewer for various International Journals and Conferences. Also currently leading “Computer Networks & Internet of Things” TAG (Thrust Area Groups).

He is an IEEE member, ACM member and CSI – Mentor (Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru). Before joining Amrita Univesity in 2013, Dr. Rakesh has served in various VTU affiliated colleges at various capacities. Dr. Rakesh has completed his Ph.D in Computer Science & Engineering from PRIST University, Thanjore, Tamilnadu in the year 2013 under the guidance of Honorable Professor Dr. S. K. Srivatsa IISc, Bangalore and Retired Professor from Madras Institute of Technology, Guindy,Chennai.

He holds 3 Master degrees in M.Tech in CSE, MBA in Information Systems & M.Sc in Computer Science from reputed colleges. He completed his B.E. in Information Science & Engineering from VTU, Belgaum; Karnataka. He has guided 27 – MBA projects, 20 – M.Tech Projects and 25 – B.Tech projects. Currently he his guiding 4 Ph.D students in the area of IoTs and Wireless Sensor Networks at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru campus.
