Abstract : Corporate social responsibility (CSR) has a wider reach by contributing to society and environment. It also generates positive atmosphere inside the organization that eventually leads to the overall improvement of the brand image. It is very broad whereas, SDGs and related targets are precisely defined and would be able to help India to improve its developmental activities and contribute directly to the national as well as global development agenda. The business sector is learning from the scenario that, they need to strategize towards achieving the SDGs using the CSR activities as a means of shared growth. This paper will look into the role of CSR in achieving SDGs set by UN, in India. The concept of SDGs have not been derived from a new atmosphere. It is the resultant of many crucial discussions that have been taken place in the past few years. Representatives from all around the world (193 countries) gathered at the UN headquarters in the United States to adopt 2030 Agenda for improvement in development in sustainability on 25 Sept 2015. The businesses are creating some positive impacts on the society by acting as a catalyst in the SDGs implementation.
