Abstract : Therminol 55 is a heat transfer fluid which has a temperature range from 375°C to -50°C. It remains in a mono-phase at high temperature i.e. at 375°C as well as at low temperature -50°C and the properties of heat transfer fluid will not affect while heating and cooling to such a high temperature and low temperature. This work describes the use of Therminol 55 as a heat transfer fluid in mono fluid heat exchanger system and compares the results with water as working fluid and simulation results revealed that Therminol 55 has taken less time compared to water. The Comsol simulation model can give a clear understanding of exothermic chemical reactor. In chemical industries this experiments are costly and hazardous, so it's always preferred for simulation analysis to understand this reaction. © 2019 Author(s).
