Abstract : Internet plays a major role in the lives of people these days. The word is linked through the internet. Any data which is being communicated or transferred can be done over the internet. Things are also connected together through internet which is termed as Internet of Things. With communication of data over the internet, comes its security which has to be addressed. Security is one aspect which cannot be compromised. Encryption to an extent helps in securing the data. Also, image steganography is useful when one needs to secretly send data in the form of an image. Associative pixel steganography is used as the stenographic technique. Combining encryption and steganography can ensure a secure transfer of data over internet in the Internet of Things (IoT) scenario.
