Unit I

Introduction to TV Anchoring and Production

Overview of TV anchoring and programme production, Roles and responsibilities of TV anchors and producers, Understanding the television audience and market

Unit II

On-Camera Performance and Presentation Skills

Techniques for effective on-camera performance, Voice modulation, body language, and facial expressions, overcoming stage fright and building confidence.

Unit III

Scriptwriting for Television

Basics of scriptwriting for TV programs, writing scripts for news bulletins, talk shows, and interviews, Tailoring scripts for different audience demographics and program formats

Unit IV

TV Programme Production Process

Pre-production: Planning and organizing TV programs, Production: Filming techniques, directing, and camera operation, Post-production: Editing, sound mixing, and graphics

Unit V

Hands-On Programme Production Project

Collaborative project to produce a TV program from concept to completion, Students take on roles as anchors, producers, directors, and crew members, Presentation and screening of final TV program projects.

Objectives and Outcomes

Course Objectives

Anchoring and TV Programme Production is designed to provide students with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to excel in television presenting and producing. This course emphasizes the fundamentals of on-camera performance, scriptwriting, program planning, and production techniques essential for creating engaging and professional television content. Through a combination of theoretical lectures, hands- on exercises, workshops, and projects, students will develop their abilities in anchoring, hosting, and producing various types of TV programs.
