Syllabus

Unit I

Advanced Camera Techniques and Composition

Understanding and mastering manual mode, Advanced composition techniques, long exposure and night photography, Macro photography.

Unit II

Advanced Lighting Techniques

Studio lighting setups, Outdoor lighting techniques, Understanding and manipulating natural light.

Unit III

Post-Processing Techniques

Advanced image editing techniques, Color grading and correction, Retouching and restoration, and enhancing details. Apply design principles (balance, contrast, alignment).

Unit IV

Advanced Graphic Design

Advanced vector graphics, Layout design, Branding, and identity design, Evaluate the impact of color theory in design. Create digital collages and mood boards.

Unit V

Portfolio Development and Critique

Developing a personal style, Building a professional portfolio, Peer critique and feedback.

Objectives and Outcomes

Course Objective:

This course aims to build upon the foundational knowledge of photography and digital design, enabling students to explore advanced techniques and concepts in both fields. The course will foster creativity and innovation, encouraging students to develop their unique style and vision in creating compelling visual content. Apply design principles to create visually appealing graphics. Develop a professional portfolio showcasing their photography and design skills.

CO2: Utilize advanced lighting techniques to enhance the mood and quality of photographs.

CO3: Perform advanced post-processing techniques to improve or alter photographs.
