The SEER Lab is a hub for interdisciplinary research, education, and community collaboration. The name ‘SEER’ draws inspiration from Sanskrit, symbolizing profound insight, wisdom, and intuitive powers—reflecting our mission to inspire sustainable environmental solutions.

Lab Divisions

Our lab features four specialized divisions to address diverse aspects of environmental sustainability: 

  1. Water Sustainability Lab: Analysis, treatment, and management of water resources. 
  2. Soil Ecosystem Lab: Soil health monitoring assessment, analysis of plant nutrition 
  3. Microbiology Lab: Microbial roles in health, bioremediation, and ecosystems. 
  4. Climate change and water resilience lab: Enhanced understanding of climate change’s impacts on water resources. Designing and testing resilient water infrastructure systems that can withstand climate-related stresses. 
  5. Marine Ecosystem Lab: Conservation, ocean acidification, and robotics.
    • Ocean Acidification Lab: Studying calcifying organisms.
