Abstract : In this era where technology is an inseparable trait, the rates of various crimes have been materially escalating. It is upon logical solutions rather than upon the crime that should be dwelled on. Especially crimes related to human trafficking, sexual abuse against women there is no considerable development in ensuring safety. With people being the main powerhouse, the sting is a web application developed for the user’s safety where other users have significant roles. The users could report a crime by uploading images or by commenting then that particular location will be considered as a danger zone, and other users in that particular location could help the one in trouble. Other existing apps rely on law enforcement bodies to retrieve the victim, here the users could lend a helping hand, also the feature of using maps helps other people to check whether the path they are traveling is safe or not. Sting stores cases reported and enables the users to choose their path. Hence sting acts as a safe travel guide as well as a crime detection app.
