As a precursor to the summit, a high-impact VC-CEO Roundtable was held on October 17, 2024, to address the theme “Redefining Education: Integrating New Age Technologies.” Esteemed participants, including Prof. Bhavani Rao R, Dean, School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, discussed the transformative potential of technologies such as AI, AR/VR, blockchain, and predictive analytics in building future-ready learning ecosystems. This roundtable set the stage for broader discussions on how universities can integrate cutting-edge technologies into their curricula and governance.

In alignment with global efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the 5th panel, titled “One Planet, Shared Future: Role of Universities,” also saw the participation of Prof. Bhavani Rao R. She emphasized Amrita’s commitment to compassion-driven research and community engagement. She shared Amrita’s approach to co-developing interdisciplinary solutions that address local challenges while empowering communities.

In the session titled “Building a Thriving Higher Education Ecosystem with Effective Governance & Faculty,” Dr. Balakrishnan Shankar, Dean, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, highlighted the importance of innovation in teaching methodologies. He underscored the need for hands-on, experiential learning to engage students in today’s fast-paced digital world.
