ICPC Amritapuri Site Opens Registration for Prestigious Programming Contest

The International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) has opened registrations for its Amritapuri site. From October 8th to November 12th, students from degree-granting institutions across India are invited to join this esteemed competition, open to all fields of study.

Founded in 1970, ICPC is the world’s oldest and most prestigious programming contest. In this rigorous five-hour competition, teams of three university students tackle algorithmic problems, testing their coding skills, critical thinking, and teamwork.

Open to all students in higher education, the contest allows teams to represent their institution while connecting with peers, industry experts, and mentors. ICPC’s emphasis on problem-solving, system thinking, and analytical skills provides participants a significant professional advantage, and the format increases chances of recruitment opportunities. High performers will earn international recognition as they represent India on a global stage, with the chance to compete for top prizes, including $15,000 USD and the prestige of excelling in this globally recognized contest.

The first preliminary online round is scheduled on November 16th, followed by the onsite round at Amritapuri on December 28th and 29th. Exclusive webinars will also be available to introduce new participants to competitive programming, enhancing their preparation.

ICPC alumni recognize the competition as an invaluable opportunity to strengthen technical skills, teamwork, and resilience. “The ICPC contests provide students with a unique platform to enhance their critical and computational thinking skills, invaluable in today’s tech-driven world,” says Balajiganapathi S., ICPC 2014 World Finalist and Senior Software Engineer at Meta London.
