Dr. Prashant R. Nair, Vice-Chairman – Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, has been nominated to an Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) Expert Committee. The mandate of this expert committee is to prepare a strategic action plan to bring 2 government universities of Andhra Pradesh (AP) state, Acharya Nagarjuna University, and Andhra University into the top 10 of the NIRF rankings by 2027. This task force visited Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, AP on 13 and 14 November 2024. The team had detailed interactions with the competent authorities of the university such as Prof. G. Shashibhushana Rao, Vice-Chancellor i/c; Prof. Dhanamjaya Rao, Registrar; Deans, Principals; Institutional Development Plan committee and the IQAC team. The expert committee also interacted with the board of studies chairpersons & heads of departments and visited the various facilities such as IQAC, central library, skill development center, placement office, international affairs office, a-hub incubation center, and centers of excellence in nanotechnology, NMR, aquaculture etc. Prof. Zubaida Ansari, IQAC Director of Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, and Dr. Rama Kondapalli, Former Senior Advisor, NAAC were the other members of the expert committee.
