Abstract : The recent increase in the efforts to reduce fossil fuel consumption and limit the carbon footprint in the environment has resulted in a significant increase in electric vehicles. Furthermore, vehicles powered by energy storage systems [EVs] have been identified as a potential alternate source for maintaining grid stability during peak load power consumption. This study gives a simulation-based analysis of optimal power flow in a microgrid using dc rapid charging for a vehicle to grid (V2G) and grid to vehicle (G2V). For bidirectional converters in V2G and G2V, a simulation analysis of an adaptive controller, such as an ANN and fuzzy logic controller, was constructed. An analysis of the results is given in comparison.
