EEE department of Amrita School of Engineering has organized a Workshop on ” Data acquisition for Electrical Engineering Using IoT” which was held on 24.10.2024 in Power Systems Lab- AB II.
The objective of this workshop is to enhance the technical skill set of Undergraduate EEE & ELC students in ESP32 microcontroller and ThingSpeak cloud platform.
The students are trained with the following objectives,
Objective 1: Exposure on basic usage of ESP32 microcontroller and Arduino IDE.
Objective 2: Introduction to basic electrical sensors (Current, Voltage & Power).
Objective 3: Data Acquisition from Analog sensors using ESP32 microcontroller and Arduino IDE.
Objective 3: Real time monitoring of Analog Devices in the ThingSpeak Cloud platform.
Objective 5. Controlling digital devices from ThingSpeak Cloud platform.
Objective 6: Controlling digital devicesfrom remote based on Edge Computing.
The Faculty and Undergraduate Students doing research/project in IoT from EEE department have attended the event.
The training was offered by Dr. S. Sampath Kumar , Assistant Professor (SG – EEE), and Dr. K. R. M. Vijaya Chandrakala, Associate Professor (EEE). The total number of participants were 43. The Gen-E club of EEE department has supported the event.
