Abstract : Crime analysis is a systematic way of analyzing and identifying patterns and trends in crime. To manually process the crimes in our country has become cumbersome due to the rapid increase in crime rates.[10] The motive of this paper is to analyze the past crime records in an efficient manner using data analytics tools and to discover previously unknown, useful information by exploring and making use of various data mining techniques.[3] Some of the analysis done in this paper include state-wise crime rate prediction, identifying most vulnerable age group of victims, identifying the connections between crimes, most prominent crime against women in each state etc.[5] The results obtained could be used to take precautionary measures and hence reduce the crime rates in future. © 2018, Institute of Advanced Scientific Research, Inc..
