Abstract : Energy has emerged as the fundamental concern of the scientific community and the major world powers in reaction to the shifting global landscape. Researchers are looking for energy-storage technologies due to the lack of available energy sources and environmental issues. In order to address the increasing demand for sustainable and renewable power sources in the electronics sector, efforts have been undertaken to develop flexible, lightweight, and environmentally friendly energy-storage systems. More effective energy-storage device development and improvement have attracted much attention. However, the discovery of CNTs gave polymer nanocomposite research another boost, offering hitherto unexplored possibilities for a range of applications. As it relates to our capacity to build more complex materials to meet the needs of society and the earth, polymer science has been termed “the doorway to the future.” In a number of sectors, including transportation, packaging, healthcare, and buildings, polymers are already essential in reducing energy and resource use. Owing to their adaptability, blends of polymers—combinations of two or more polymers—have enabled and will continue to enable a sustainable way of life. From a theoretical and practical perspective, the inclusion of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) into polymer blends is receiving a lot of interest for energy-storage systems. In this chapter, we discuss different energy applications of polymer blend nanocomposites with carbon nanotubes.
