Since its inception on October 7th, 1996, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has continuously strived for excellence in both teaching and research. Currently the department offers Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering, Master of Technology (M. Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity . The department also offers Ph.D. programmes in thrust areas. The department has attracted the best engineering aspirants and research scholars across the country. Our research endeavours span a wide spectrum, focusing on critical areas such as machine Learning, Image Processing, Multimedia Mining, Evolutionary Computing, Network Security, and Wireless Networks. As part of our commitment to advancing knowledge, we are actively working towards establishing state-of-the-art research laboratories and Research and Development centres.

ATAL FDP Theme

In today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape, industries are increasingly turning to advanced computational methods to optimize processes, enhance productivity, and gain valuable insights into their operations. This FDP aims to equip faculty members with the knowledge and skills necessary to harness the power of quantum computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and high-performance computing (HPC) for creating and managing industrial digital twins. Digital twins, virtual replicas of physical systems or processes, have emerged as transformative technology in various industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, transportation, and energy. These digital representations enable real-time monitoring, simulation, and analysis, leading to improved decision-making, predictive maintenance, and resource optimization. To fully leverage the potential of digital twins, it is essential to integrate cutting-edge computational techniques such as quantum computing, AI, and HPC.
