Abstract : Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS) is an autoimmune acute polyneuropathy affecting the peripheral nervous system in which immune system mistargets host nerve tissue through molecular mimicry. This acute monophasic paralysing illness is usually provoked by a preceding infection.
