By Air

Cochin (Kochi) International Airport at Nedumbassery is situated 140 kilometers north of the campus. One can ask for a pre-paid taxi to Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri. The taxi ride takes about three hours.

By Bus

From the Ernakulam Transport Bus-Stand, one may board a bus going towards Trivandrum via Alappuzha, and alight at Ochira. From Ochira, an autorickshaw can be taken to bring one directly to Amritapuri, which is 6 km away from Ochira. Or one may board a bus going to Vallickavu Junction, which is about a five-minute walk from the campus.

By Train

Kayamkulam is the closest train station situated 12 kilometres north of the campus. After disembarking, one can hire an autorickshaw to come to the campus. The ride takes about 20 minutes. Buses are also available from Kayamkulam Bus-Stand to Vallickavu Junction, which is about a five-minute walk from the campus.

Welcome Help Desk

Two help desks will be set up in the Campus Lobby to help with Certificate Verification and answer any questions. There will be a noticeboard listing all the documents required. Each student will receive a file to keep their self-attested copies organized. Also, all the original copies are to be carried in hand.

Campus Reporting Desk

Reporting Desk arrangements will be made near both the Amriteshwari and Acharya halls. Four reporting desks will be set up, with one staff member assigned to each desk with two students. Before entering the document verification halls, initial verification will be conducted at these desks.


At the fourth desk, tokens for document verification will be distributed. Appointments will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Parents can wait inside the halls while students proceed with the verification process.

Hostel Reporting Help desk

Two help desks will be set up on the Ashram side to provide guidance regarding the allocation of hostel rooms.

Pre-Orientation Session

To ensure a smooth transition and to familiarize you with our campus and procedures, we have scheduled a mandatory Pre-Orientation Session. This session is scheduled mainly for verifying the original certificates, mark sheets, and other relevant documents of the admitted candidates. 

Important Requirements

Before attending the Pre-Orientation Session, it is mandatory that you complete the following steps: 

  • Complete your profile in the Swagatham portal. This portal is crucial for the administrative and academic purposes and will help us communicate with you effectively. 
  • Upload all required documents. Please ensure all necessary documents (details will be provided through the Swagatham portal) are uploaded before your arrival.

Venue for Reporting

Please mark your calendar and make the necessary arrangements to be present at the Amritapuri campus on the exact date and time allotted for you (reporting date and time is already communicated to all the candidates in your email). Candidates need to report

at the Welcome Desk in the lobby of the School of Engineering building. Candidates must produce a printed copy of your Provisional Admission Order (PAO) at the welcome desk to enroll into the pre-orientation session. 

Documents to be Produced

Candidates must produce the following original documents for the verification purpose during the pre-orientation session. All these original documents except TC/MC and CC will be given back to the candidate after the verification process. 

  • HSE / +2 Mark Statement
  • 10th Class Mark Statement
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Conduct Certificate
  • Aadhar Card
  • Migration Certificate (in case of TC not issued by the last studied institution)
  • Community Certificate (if applicable)

Documents to be Submitted

Candidates must submit the self-attested copies of the following documents except TC/MC and CC. Must submit the original TC/MC and CC to the college. 

  • Provisional Admission Order (PAO) (a print of the PAO email that you received or the one downloaded from the Swagatham portal)
  • Fee Payment Receipt (to be downloaded from CSAP portal)
  • AEEE 2024 Admit Card
  • JEE Mains 2024 Score Card + Admit Card

Your presence for the Orientation & Student Induction Program is mandatory. Please read below useful information for planning your travel and stay in Amritapuri Campus. 

Induction Program Dates  

Semester One (S1) B.Tech. Induction program is as per the schedule given below: 

July 22 (Monday) – For B.Tech CSE, CAI, AID, CYS 

July 29 (Monday) – For B.Tech ECE, EAC, EEE, ELC, MEE, RAI 

Hostel Accommodation 

Accommodation with minimum comforts is available for a limited number of days in the ashram for the benefit of parents accompanying students, at nominal charges in First Come First Serve basis.

Hostel Fee Payment and Hostel Room Allocation 

Once you have successfully made the payment for hostel fees, your hostel room allocation will be arranged upon your arrival at the campus. If you have any issues while completing the online payment for hostel fees, rest assured that we will address and resolve these matters upon your arrival. Hostel rooms will be allotted to all eligible students. The Campus is situated about 1 km from the Ashram, across the backwaters, and can be reached using the footbridge. Hostel room allocation for new students will commence from 10:00 am onwards on the day before the Induction Program. As a general guideline, we anticipate hostel residents to arrive on the day prior to the Induction Program. 

Accommodation for Parents 

Accommodation with minimum comforts is available for a limited number of days in the ashram for the benefit of parents accompanying students, at nominal charges in First Come First Serve basis.

Mess Food and Canteen 

Vegetarian food is served in Indian and Western canteens in the ashram for the benefit all. Hostel. Mess is open for newly arriving students starting with previous day lunch. Parents can also partake food in the hostel Mess along with their wards. 

Provisions for Hostel use 

For the benefit of incoming students, Hostel administration will provide items, on payment basis, for essential daily use such as mattress (as per the cot size), pillow, bucket, etc. Bed sheets & pillow covers are not included. The administration has ensured that high quality mattress (by Coirfed, Kerala Govt Undertaking) and other quality items are made available to students at prices lower than market price. Any additional items required by students for their hostel life are available in the provision stores in the ashram and hostels. 

Note: Payments are accepted only in digital payment mode (Google Pay, Paytm etc.) 

Dress Code 

Students are required to wear the university-provided uniform while on campus. Until the uniform is provided, casual dress may be worn. For girls, it is recommended to wear long tops and bottoms or Kurti-style dresses.
