Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) continues to bolster academic collaboration and excellence across various universities and autonomous higher educational institutions in India. Through its dedicated IQAC mentoring program, Amrita hosts academic delegations and shares its best practices in academic autonomy, examination systems, and quality assurance processes.
On July 8, 2024, a delegation of four senior administrators from KPR Institute of Engineering & Technology (KPRIET), Coimbatore, visited Amrita’s Coimbatore campus. The delegation aimed to study the university’s exemplary practices in academic autonomy and processes, examination systems, and IQAC operations. The visiting team comprised Dr. A.M. Natarajan, Chief Executive; Dr. D. Sharmila, Professor in charge of Autonomous Affairs; Dr. R. Manjula Devi, Head of IQAC; and Mr. M. Mohanasundaram, Member of Autonomous Affairs.The KPRIET team engaged in insightful discussions with Amrita’s distinguished faculty, including Dr. K. Sankaran, Registrar; Dr. Dhandapani R., Controller of Examinations; and Dr. Prashant R. Nair, Vice-Chairman of IQAC, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore.
Dr. Prashant R. Nair, Vice-Chairman of IQAC at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, participated virtually in the first Academic Council meeting of Sanjivani University, Kopargaon, Maharashtra, on June 29, 2024. The meeting, chaired by Dr. J. Janet, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Sanjivani University, saw the approval of the university’s vision and mission, as well as the regulations and curricula for new programs such as B.Tech, B.Com, BBA, M.Tech, and MBA.
On July 5, 2024, Dr. Prashant R. Nair also virtually attended the first Board of Studies (BoS) meeting of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at United Institute of Technology, Coimbatore. Presided over by Dr. R. Radhakrishnan, Principal of the college, the meeting approved the regulations and curricula for the B.E. and M.E. programs in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). Dr. Sindhuja P., Head of the Department of CSE, presented the detailed curriculum for these programs.
