Abstract : Formula car racing is always a rich sport and millions of research is been done on the development of highly optimised cars. The work shown in this paper consists of the design and fabrication of formula car chassis and testing of its weak points and expected life. CAD software is adopted to chassis design and further finite element analysis like static analysis, modal analysis, transient analysis and fatigue analysis were performed in ANSYS software before fabrication. Vibration transfer path analysis demonstrates the resulting performance of chassis as an alternative to the modal analysis approach for solving noise and vibration problems.
