Amrita CREATE’s Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) recently organized two intensive pre-service and in-service teacher training sessions from 10–15 May, and 27–29 May, 2024, aimed at enhancing the capabilities of educators to effectively implement the ALP curriculum in Amrita Vidyalayam schools. As we have launched the ALP program to two more schools, Amrita Vidyalayam Kozhikode and Manjeri for the coming year, the training was facilitated by the Amrita CREATE ALP team. The team is looking forward to expand this one-of-a-kind program to many more schools.
This comprehensive training, held as a residential workshop, featured a blend of lectures, interactive presentations, a school field trip, and hands-on activities. The sessions were meticulously designed to help teachers grasp the core concepts and benchmarks of the NEP 2020 and how to implement them actively in the classroom. The training saw the enthusiastic participation of 32 teachers from Amrita Vidyalayams Puthiyakavu, Kollam, Kozhikode, Manjeri, and Tamil Nadu.
Throughout the training, teachers engaged in a variety of activities on pedagogy, collaborative lesson planning, technology integration workshops, and discussions on classroom management techniques and innovative English language teaching methodologies. The goal was to equip them with the tools and strategies necessary to foster an engaging and effective learning environment, ensuring that students receive a high-quality education that meets the program’s rigorous standards.
