Abstract : The automotive industry is focusing on innovative solutions prioritizing the safety of vehicles that guarantees the safety of passengers. CAVs (Connected and Autonomous Vehicles) are vehicles with a high degree of protection. They have some or all of their functions automated and communicate with other traffic systems and devices. CAV focuses on enhancing safety and security features through automating various functionalities and implementing communication between intelligent devices. A major technological breakthrough in CAVs, in the body control functionalities includes automatic headlamps, power windows, exterior and interior lighting, windscreen wiper, and other functionalities. This paper focuses on developing advanced Body Control Safety System (BCSS) for CAV. This paper deals with a safety system control module that consists of an Adaptive High Beam Lighting System (AHBLS) and Safety Power Window Control System (SPWCS). This BCSS device allows vehicles to communicate with one another (Vehicle to Vehicle-V2V). The BCSS of one vehicle transmits a message to the BCSS of the oncoming vehicle, thus improving road safety. The proposed system enhances the safety system by automating body control functionalities (automatic headlamp and power window) and avoiding accidents due to dazzling effects and pinching effects. All the designs were simulated using PROTEUS software, prototype hardware was designed and tested under various scenarios.
