Amrita College of Nursing opened its new Research Cell and Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IDC). The centre was inaugurated by Swami Purnamritananda Puri, General Secretary, Mata Amritanandamayi Math. Swamiji highlighted the essence of selflessness and altruism, stating that true happiness lies in sacrificing personal interests for the welfare of others. He emphasized that the primary goal of research should be to serve humanity and alleviate suffering.
The event also witnessed the launch of the book titled ‘Concepts and Principles in Forensic Nursing Practices,’ authored by KL Aji, S. Sujakumari, and Anisha Vadakkepat, faculties of Amrita College of Nursing.
Dr. Prem Nair, Group Medical Director, Amrita Hospitals, Associate Dean, PG & Doctoral Programs, Dr. D M Vasudevan and Amrita College of Nursing Principal Dr. K T Moly spoke on the occasion. They emphasized the pivotal role of research in nursing education and healthcare delivery, underscoring the importance of fostering innovation in the field.
