With the aim of promoting research across various fields, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai organized the Amrita Research & Innovation Symposium for Excellence (ARISE). Dr. Maneesha Vinodini Ramesh, Provost of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, inaugurated the two-day event, with Prof. Ramesh Lekshminarayanan Gerdas, Head of the Chemistry Department at IIT Chennai, presiding over the opening ceremony.
Dr. Sasangan Ramanathan, Dean (Engineering & Academics), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Dr. V. Jayakumar, Prinicipal, Amrita School of Engineering, Chennai and Head of Research Cell Dr. S. A. Lakshmanan were among the speakers. Focused on holistic health, integrated healthcare, sustainable development, societal empowerment, and residential infrastructure conservation, the event brought together participants from diverse fields, with approximately 200 representatives actively engaging in discussions.
The symposium addressed current challenges and potential solutions in areas such as education, healthcare, and the application of artificial intelligence in different domains. Collaborative discussions among participants led to the formulation of research methodologies and innovative solutions for specific challenges.
