The students of School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi campus, have always adopted service as the guiding principle of any celebration.

The Keralappiravi and Malayalam Day celebration was no different. Spreading the message of love and compassion for fellow human beings, The formal Keralappiravi – Malayalam Day celebrations were held in the campus on November 1, 2016. Dr. S. Hariharan Nair, Director, Sariga Sangeeta Academy, inaugurated the program. Brahmachari Anaghamrita Chaitanya blessed the event. Sri. P. I. Sankaranarayanan, the noted writer, was the chief guest of the day. Prof. P. A. Appukuttan, Dr. U. Krishnakumar and Mr. Chandran Perumudiyur spoke on the occasion. A cultural program by the students followed the inaugural function. An exhibition showcasing the cultural heritage of Kerala and a Quiz competition were also organized as part of the event.
