The department of English and Languages, School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi, organized a skit “Upamanyu” on September 5, 2014, as part of Teacher’s day celebration. The play depicted the role of a teacher in a student’s life. It also highlighted the key features like obedience of students and trust of teachers on students. 

Dr. K. Sreena, Assistant Professor, Department of English, Dr. Sony Vijayan, HOD, Department of Commerce and Management and Dr. Chitra, Assistant Professor, Department of Maths, were specially honoured for receiving doctorate. Prof. P. A. Appukuttan delivered the Teachers’ Day address.
