Highlighting the need to have spirituality in daily life, Dr. Sivakumar V., Faculty & Coordinator in Research/Genomics, Department of Health System Research, Amrita Health Sciences Campus, Kochi, delivered a talk titled “Psycho-Spiritual Model of Reality and its Healing Potential”, at the 10th annual conference of Science and Non Duality (SAND18 US) from October 24-28, 2018, held at San Jose, California, USA. Dr. Sivakumar was accompanied by a senior Swami from Gujarat, Rameswaranand Saraswati of the Divine Life Society, Hrishikesh lineage.
Eminent speakers included the world-famous physicist Dr. Fritjof Capra, acclaimed author of “Tao of Physics- An Exploration of the Parallels Between Modern Physics and Eastern Mysticism”, “Turning Point” and other popular titles; Dr. Deepak Chopra, well known advocate of integrated medicine; Francis Lucille and Rupert Spira, eminent non-duality teachers; Federico Faggin, inventor of the microprocessor; Kabir Helminski, Director of Baraka Institute and translator of Rumi’s teachings; Dr. Daniel Siegel, Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, UCLA School of Medicine; Dr. Marjorie Woollacott, University of Oregon, Institute of Neuroscience; Dr. Robert Sapolsky, Neuroscientist; Dr. Rollin McCraty, Executive Vice President and Director Research of HeartMath Institute, among other luminaries. The event was attended by around 1,200 delegates from 35 states in the USA and 28 countries across the world.
