On April 17, 2015, a hands-on session on ” Foundation for Oracle DB- An Industry Outlook” was conducted by Mr. Sudhi Gowda, Managing Director, Oracle Foundation, Mysuru. The workshop highlighted the importance of the Oracle Database Foundations and explained how to earn an industry-ready certification.

While talking about the roles of a DBA, Mr. Gowda explained at length about programming fundamentals, database conceptual knowledge and talked about the skills and technical expertise required to manage a database. During the session, hands-on labs and exercises were provided to students to design, develop and install database servers and implement administrative policies, security measures and plans for disaster recovery management.
