Abstract : In Battery management system the most challenging part is maintaining the cell balancing. In some of the battery self-reconfiguration system, relay is used as switching process in battery management system but as there is a time delay in switching process, it affects the battery lifetime. To overcome this, the proposed system is based on battery self-reconfiguration using MOSFET without a DC-DC converter. In battery self-reconfiguration, the cell connections can be changed during operation to different configurations. The smart battery management system that can reconfigure itself according to its requirement to enhance operational performance. As compared to relay MOSFET switching operation is fast, so MOSFET is used to fasten the output process. Using the self-reconfiguration method the battery's health condition also can be maintained and also cost of this process is low.
