A talk on “Article Writing, Publication and IPR” was held at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru campus, on April 10, 2018. The session was handled by Dr. Sreenath S., Associate Professor, SJCE, Mysuru. The event was organized for the semester IV students of MCA.

The highlights of the talk included understanding the concept of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in the context of research publications, the significance of intellectual property and copyrights, as well as the need for research publications to thrive as a successful professional in the current scenarios of corporate industry. Implications of plagiarism and techniques to improvise quality of the work and emphasis on experimental analysis in research work were highlighted. Dr. Sreenath also gave tips on how to undertake research-oriented projects and related tasks involving finding relevant journal papers, writing research articles, the importance of Scopus Indexing, referencing/citing the article, etc. He elaborated on the significance of IPR.
