Bio

Dr. Haripriya Ravikumar currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore Campus. She completed her PhD at Taylor’s University, Malaysia with a 100% scholarship. Her PhD research was based on the discovery of plant drugs to treat cardiovascular disease via cell line studies through systematic screening of phytochemicals by bioassay-guided fractionation of antioxidants.

Further academic information, She completed her undergraduate degree (Bsc Food Science and Nutrition) from Avinashilingam University, Coimbatore, India with First class with Distinction and University Gold medal (1st Rank). Her Post-grad (MSc Human Nutrition and Nutraceuticals) from Fatima College (Affiliated to Madurai Kamarajar University) in Madurai, India.

During this period, she won various proficiency certificates and acted as University Treasurer for the year 2017-2018. Being a nutritionist, Dr. Haripriya is dedicated to advance and understand the complex relationship between diet and human health, with a passion for improving the well-being of individuals and communities through science-based nutrition interventions.
