Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham students were selected to participate in the European Mars Rover Challenge (ERC), one of the biggest international space and robotics event in the world. The competition will take place in Starachowice, Poland from September 14-16, 2018.
The team named “Ashva” consists of 12 students comprising of students from the departments of Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering, School of Engineering, Amritapuri Campus. The team has been selected as one of 65 teams for the final round from 20 countries that have applied for the participation in the fourth edition of the international Mars rover challenge – European Rover Challenge. The “Ashva” team is one among the three teams from India to qualify for European Rover Challenge.
The “Ashva” team consists of the following members mentored by Dr. Ganesha Udupa, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Amritapuri.
“Through their sincere dedication and hard work, they have achieved this far on the first attempt,” shared Dr. Ganesha Udupa.
