Abstract : Biometrics is the most reliable way of identification of a person. Storing this information in a normal database makes it prone to security risks. Therefore it is of utmost importance that the biometric template that is stored in the database is secure. Hence we propose a way to integrate security to the Iris templates that are stored in the database using cancelable biometrics. We have used the p-hidden negative database (NDB) algorithm which provides Irreversibility, Revocability and Renewability, and Unlinkability. Reversing the NDB is an NP-hard problem and can be used to provide security to the Iris templates.
