Abstract : India has been an agro-based country for decades. Much of the country still relies upon agriculture for their livelihood. The drastic growth of the population has led to a multifold rise in demand for food and crops, giving away ample opportunities in the agriculture sector to expand upon a commendable rate. Despite the higher demands and opportunities, the agriculture sector in India has not proven to be very lucrative. Similarly, poor living conditions are a clarification for the suicides of Indian farmers to the most recent figures of Indias Ministry of Agriculture. While many factors have contributed to this, two of the main are transportation facilitation and middlemen between the producers and the customers. Bringing the finished goods from the farms to the nearby towns in large amounts accounts for a considerable amount of effort and price. The middlemen make more profits than the farmer, as he is unaware of the markets and its demands. The consistent graph of employment switch to agriculture to other sectors from the past two decades explains why these two reasons are highly influential. The need of the hour is to define an efficient solution to these two primary problems based on all the acting metrics.
