Mr. Akhil T, 3rd Year, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Amritapuri Campus, won a gold medal in the Andhra Pradesh State Junior Power Lifting Competition, creating a new state-level record. He has also been selected to participate in the National Power Lifting Competition, held in Tamil Nadu from January 8-12, 2018.
“I was able to win the gold medal at the State Junior Power Lifting Competition because of the support I received from Amrita. I am extremely thankful to our coach, Mr. Bijeesh C. who was a great source of motivation for us,” shared Mr. Akhil T.
In more recognition for the Amrita Power Lifters, Mr. Yadhu Raj, M.Com 1st Year, Department of Commerce and Management, Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, Amritapuri Campus, was presented with a memento by Kollam Power Lifting Association for his achievements in Power Lifting. The current MLA of Kollam and a film actor, Sri. Mukesh. presented the momento.
