Dr. Manzoor Koyakutty, Professor of Amrita Centre for Nanosciences and Molecular Medicine (ACNSMM), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, was awarded the ‘Fellow of National Academy of Sciences, India (FNASc)’ during the 87th Annual Meeting of the Academy held at Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune, on December 9, 2017. The Fellow of National Academy of Sciences, India (FNASc), certificate and medal were presented by Prof. Anil Kakodkar, Former Director- General, Dept of Atomic Energy, Government of India and Current President of the National Academy.
The honor is made in recognition of his contributions in the area of Biological Sciences, particularly for the development of novel nanomedicines for cancer therapy.
