Amrita Center for Allied Health Sciences conducted the graduation ceremony of the outgoing students of B.Sc Allied Health Sciences 2013 batch on 2nd August, 2017, at the Health Sciences campus.
Prof. M. V. Thampi, Chief Program Administrator, Amrita Centre for Allied Health Sciences, welcomed all the dignitaries and the invitees. The presidential address was delivered by Dr. Prathapan Nair, Chairman, Admissions and Accreditations, Amrita School of Medicine. Sampoojya Swami Purnamritananda Puri delivered the benedictory address.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. U. Krishna Kumar, Director, Amrita School of Arts & Sciences, Kochi. In his inaugural address, he emphasized the rising importance of allied health professions in the healthcare sector.
The professional oath was administered to the graduates by Dr. Col. Vishal Marwaha, Principal, Amrita School, of Medicine. Dr. Anand Kumar A., Vice Principal, Amrita School of Medicine, Dr. K. U. Natarajan, Professor and Head of Cardiology and Dr. Ajit Nambiar, Professor Head of Pathology offered felicitations.
Undergraduate courses of Allied Health Sciences include Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Radiologic Technology, Emergency Medical Technology, Anaesthesia Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Dialysis Therapy, Physician Assistant, Cardio Vascular Technology, Echocardiography Technology, Cardiac Perfusion Technology, Diabetes Sciences, Optometry, Bachelor of Audiology & Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) and Neuro electro-physiology.
Awards were distributed to the graduates who excelled in their academics. Student representative of outgoing graduates, Ms. Karthika and Mr. Amritesh, spoke about their experience in Amrita School of Medicine. Mr. Prasad V. G., Senior Lecturer and Program Co-ordinator proposed the vote of thanks.
