Machine-to-Machine (M2M) or Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) or Swarm communication is a typical configuration of Internet of Things (IoT) for providing stable connectivity between vast intelligent devices and diverse applications. M2M is a self-organized network and comprises an infrastructure less structure that will help the devices to associate themselves and be controlled by a central server without any human intervention. Due to its high speed, vast bandwidth, and low latency, the 5G technology supporting this infrastructure has fewer requirements for M2M communication. At the same time, this dynamic infrastructure management leads to security related issues in M2M communication over 5G networks. The objective of the research is to establish physical layer (PHY) security in M2M communication over 5G networks through cross layer optimization techniques.
