Amrita TBI, the government recognized technology business incubator of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is hosting the fifth edition of the popular national startup program titled Amrita TBI PitchFest on January 28- 29, 2017. Amrita TBI PitchFest is a platform for startups to showcase their ideas, qualify to receive a total seed investment up to $200,000 and get incubation space at Amrita TBI. This year, Amrita TBI has doubled the total investment outlay for startups.

The top 30 startups teams will be shortlisted and will pitch their ideas/products to an elite panel of investors and VCs in Bangalore. Amrita TBI will complete the required due-diligence on the three finalists and provide seed investments for qualified startups. Prominent partners of the program are DST, Govt of India, Indian Angel Network, Freshers World and YourStory.

In the last edition, the program attracted more than 700 startups from 10 Indian states making it one of the most popular startup pitch contests in the country. The top startup winner of the last edition, Preksh Innovations recently came in at the second position at the K- Startup Grand Challenge in Seoul, in which more than 2400 startups from 124 countries participated.
